Great news if you are the parent of preschool-aged child, the World of Paw Patrol is now fully open at Chessington World of Adventures. The new area features four rides including a family rollercoaster, as well as play areas, extensive theming, and of course a merch shop.

WHAT IS PAW PATROL?

Created in Canada, Paw Patrol is an animated show aimed at children aged 2-5 years old. The episodes focus on a boy called Ryder, who leads a crew of search and rescue dogs.

Since launching in 2013 it has turned into one of the largest media franchises of all time, with an estimated $15 billion in sales (more than Toy Story!), including several films released in cinemas.

WHAT RIDES ARE IN THE WORLD OF PAW PATROL?

  • Chase’s Mountain Mission (A new Zierer rollercoaster)

  • Skye’s Helicopter Heroes (Balloon Tower ride)

  • Marshall’s Firetruck Rescue (previously Jungle Bus in Wild Asia)

  • Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure (UK’s first ‘drifter’ ride)

HOW TALL DOES A CHILD HAVE TO BE FOR THE WORLD OF PAW PATROL?

Anyone can explore the land, and enjoy the play areas, but each of the four main attractions require children to be a minimum of 90cms to ride. Those under 1.1m must be accompanied by an adult aged over 16 (that rises to 1.2m for Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure).

WHAT WILL THE NEXT NEW ATTRACTION AT CHESSINGTON BE?

2027 will see another major investment with the much-anticipated introduction of Minecraft World. That’s currently under construction in the area occupied by Wild Asia (and beyond!).
