From 25th February 2025 Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom will no longer demand you use Virtual Queue if you wish to ride them. Whilst you can still choose to use a Lightning Lane (paid for allocated time) the main queue will switch to ‘standby’. That basically means join the queue when you like and wait your turn to ride.

It’s been a necessity to pre-book a time for these rides since they opened, which can be frustrating for some visitors, especially as many times were snapped up within minutes of becoming available. We’ll keep an eye on what the queue times become after the change, but there are rumours that Cosmic Rewind can handle around 2,000 people an hour, which would certainly help keep those waits reasonable.
