On Saturday 12th April Disney revealed a little more of what to expect from the new additions coming to their second gate in Paris, soon to be known as Disney Adventure World.

Part of the reveal was some new images of the forthcoming Lion King boat ride, that seems to be a version of the classic ‘Slash Mountain’ concept based around the original 90s animated classic (rather than the more recent remake).

The promising concept art suggests we will be getting plenty of animatronics, although some have raised concerns about whether a boat ride which soaks riders is the best idea for the Parisian climate. It is possible to amend the splash on this type of ride by changing the front of the boat, so that might already be in the plans.

Elsewhere it was announced a new Wave Swinger attraction will be added to Adventure Way, the name given to the area approaching the massive new lake. The swinging chair ride will be themed around Pixar’s Up. A simple but very welcome addition.

There’s also a fancy new map on show, which gives you an idea of how many new areas of the park will be opened up from 2026. Are you excited for these new additions?
